May 15 - Black-White-Green-Red

by Alexandra Doumani | edited by Alisya

Alexandra Doumani (she/her) is a long-time solver and rookie constructor. She is retired and lives in suburban Baltimore.

A note from Alexandra: My father’s family was expelled from their home in Acre, Palestine, in 1948. In Arabic, we call this event the Nakba, and May 15 is our commemoration day. Nothing of my family remains in the land where we lived for a thousand years, but the land will never leave our hearts. The inspiration for this puzzle was the charm on a necklace that I wear every day to symbolize resistance and hope. Many thanks to Alisya and Terry for including Middle Eastern people in this project, and thank you for solving my micro-mini.
