Nothing says Chinese New Year to me like Chunlian — and it’s also what first drew me to wordplay. As a child, I would study each character and its counterpart on the opposite panel: the way they mirrored, echoed, and completed each other. It was my earliest crossword puzzle. I’m grateful for the chance to bring them together here.
